I accidentally posted this blog before finishing the item, apologies to anyone who read the unfinished article
On a walk from Rock to Daymer across the golf course it occured to me how many dog poos are hanging on bushes and other places. Has it always been this bad? or is it now because I'm walking with my 2 & 3 year old that the situation seems much worse as they continually get close to the swinging tree decorations.
As a kid I remember there being the odd dog poo here and there which would either wash away with heavy rains or go white and desintergrate in the sun. Nowadays dog owners seem to think it'll be better if we preserve their dog feaces for longer and wrap them in plastic and hang them off the ground.
ACTUALLY I KNOW THAT ISN'T THE CASE. If these dog owners weren't conscientious then they wouldn't put the dog poos in plastic bags in the first place.

I reckon it works like this - your walking your dog along the coast and at the beginning of the walk you dog does his business.
- As a dutiful dog owner you pick the dog poo up in a plastic bag.
- You don't want to carry the dog poo all the way round you walk, so you tie it up in a bush - FULLY INTENDING to collect it on your way back
- BUT YOU FORGET
Its a situation thats not being sorted by the dog poo fairys after you've left.
And herein lies the problem. Platic bags of dog poo aren't going to disappear on their own so they'll need to be picked up by someone otherwise they'll be hanging there for literally years. The council aren't likely to be doing it, especially considering they're looking at where to save money and not spending more...
I'd like to here any thoughts you have on this subject.
