Well it started quite wet and it looked a bit bleak, i was in wales on the Saturday and phoned the beach back home, news wasn’t good, a few cancelation and a few NO shows! great i thought, but as the sun came out in wales at our SUP event the sun and the people arrived in Polzeath.

It’s a funny time of year at the beach, we only have a small crew of about 8 of us. Bobby runs the hire and has his team while Wigzy runs the school and has his team, Obi, Ant, and me. This keep staff costs down, but means if it does get busy everyone has to go the extra mile!

Both Obi and Ant did 3 days of 4 lessons in a row, even the big boss Andy did 3 one day, the weather and waves were perfect and lots and lots of regulars, so good to see everyone and a real joy to teach.

above Obi and Ant in action on a high tide special!

We also did some high level teaching, bringing Matt (the tank) from Surf-tec back in to the team, many of you will regognise Matt, he is quite scary looking and can back it up being an ex Royal marine…. looks like the big man will being doing more and more work with Wavehunters, maybe even coming back full time…..so watch this space, and if you’re  bit lazy doing your pop watch out!

Here’s matt and welshys Dad doing some filming for the groms training session and vid analysis….and if you look behind them you can see a group of police, who are digging out a skelton, no joke! it all happes in Cornwall..

We also had Polzeath Marine day and the Oneil Surf Academy at the beach one day with all there top riders, so many tents that day we nick named it Glastozeath!

The new hoods have been a big success, both back in the shop and on the beach…

Sime dudes in there new hoods infront of teh new easy ups……
